Nursing Poetry Writing Contest - FINISHED.

Submission Dates:
To Nursing Student Council
Until August 19th, 2010
Tuesday: 12-1 PM and 4-5 PM
Thursday: 12-1 PM and 4-5 PM

- Only (1) entry per contestant will be accepted.
- Each class is encourage to have at least two more representatives.
- Theme is “NURSING: teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming lives.”
- Poems may be in the form of ballad, lyric, sonnet, haiku, freeverse.
- All work must be original, and not been previously entered in other poem writing competitions.
- Criteria:
A) Creativity and Originality: 30%
B) Relevance to the Theme: 50%
C) Structure of Poem: 10%
D) Over-all Quality: 10%

Prizes:
1st Place Winner: Prize money of P1,500.00. Piece will be published with due recognition in the proposed news paper of the college of nursing. The winning writer will be automatically a part of the pool of writers of the said newspaper. Plaque of recognition.
2nd Place Winner: Prize money of P1,000.00. Piece will be published with due recognition in the proposed news paper of the college of nursing. Certificate of recognition.
3rd Place Winner: Prize money of P500.00. Piece will be published with due recognition in the proposed news paper of the college of nursing. Certificate of recognition.
